Sedgefield Hardwick Park

Hardwick Park is a country park located in Sedgefield, County Durham.

In the 18th century, a wealthy Tyneside businessman named John Burden began to develop the grounds of the park, enhancing the lake on the south side of Hardwick Hall, adding an artificial river, and ornamental buildings and features – some of which still remain at Sedgefield Hardwick Park to this day.

Now accredited as a ‘Visit Britain’ attraction, Sedgefield Hardwick Park is a wonderful place to visit for all the family and dog walkers alike. In recent years, many changes have been made for further improvement and development of the park, including a visitors centre, cafe and new toilet facilities. Sedgefield Hardwick Park currently offers a variety of family events and activities which take place throughout the year.
